Tony and Stacie visit

Tony and Stacie came to visit for the holidays. They left us a fun snowman. We enjoyed visiting with them and playing with Rylee and Eric. We went to Vernal to the new rec center for swimming.

Before and After

We've been busy fixing up our house. We redid the stairs. We hired Kevin Whiting to rebuild the stairs and put in new hardwood and banisters. It took about 3 weeks. Meanwhile we tore out the carpet in bedrooms and laid down hardwood floor, and painted closets, trim and walls. We also bought new carpet for the middle of the stairs and in the hallway and our master bedroom. We have wanted to do something for quite awhile. It has been a lot of work, but it sure looks and feels nice!

Cruise Pictures

We traveled with an LDS group and our leader was great with scriptures and archeology. We enjoyed his lectures and discussions. At Cozemal we rode a ferry to the mainland and then we boarded a very nice tour bus to see the ruins of Tulum. Our tour guide's name was Heleman. Yes he is LDS. Of course we enjoyed the good food on the ship and walking on the beach. The weather was not the best so it made for some rough water. This put a crimp in some activities, such as snorkling. But we were amongst some fine people and relaxed. At Roatan, near Hondorus, we visited a school where we gave out some school supplies and suckers that we had brought

Our cruise to the Western Caribbean

On Oct. 11, Mark and I, along with Jan and Gary flew to Tampa, Florida. On the 12th boarded Carnival's Legend, a ship built in 2004. It was beautiful. Our first excursion was to Sting Ray City at Grand Cayman. Here you see Mark holding a sting ray.

Wayment reunion 2008

We enjoyed going to the Uintas near Mirror Lake for the Wayment family reunion. We stayed at a cabin owned by Texi Davis' family. We rode 4 wheelers to explore the area. Of course we ate lots of yummie food and had fun being together with family.

Welcome

We finished our summer project, that of installing a new front door. We learned a lot in the process. So this is a little different blog entry, but it is what we have been doing and just want to share it. Notice the front porch swing has a new coat of paint too. The red thing in the glass is my reflection when I stepped back for the different angle on the picture. Come see the real thing sometime.

Family Reunion July 2008

Here they are, all ten grandkids. What blessings.
We enjoyed our 3rd annual family reunion with everyone attending except Tony. We had fun at Grandma's and Grandpa's and then we stayed at the Six Lakes lodge, eating, playing games, fishing, rowing and just having fun.
