Kitty Crop 2011

Two of last year's kittens grew up and now are Mom cats to a litter of four. I hope that is all we get. We are becoming cat poor. Somewhere around 9 cats now. The grandkida and I got them out to tame them and to enjoy.

I got the camera ready and watched for the fun. David poses with his kitty. He says,"Mine Kitty" and he knows it is his. I could hardly get it away from him when it was time to put them back with their Mom. He cried and said, "My Kitty".

Hand full of kitties or Kitties are a handfull?

Anna loved cuddling and holding the kitties. But Megan just couldn't bring herself to holding one, except by long distance.

One of the two Mom cats comes along and decides enough of this and picks up her kitten.

She carries this kitten from our backyard...

...over to the shed...

...and back into the old pigeon loft where the kittens were born. Mom cat says now that's better and here is where my kittens are suppose to be. Good Mom cat. But the grandkids are helping me tame them while we can catch them. We had a fun time playing with the this year's baby kitties.

There was a telescope to use for viewing the bison on the hillside. Rylee was checking out how it worked. I'm sure that Adam got quite the view of Rylee's eyes. Cute.

Antelope Island

After having lunch at the park, we packed up and drove out to Antelope Island. Yes, we did see some antelope and bison. There is a ranch there where we explored and played. The kids had a great time playing on the roping dummies and such.

Emily and Rylee were so happy to be together again. It had been 9 months. David tried to get Paige to hold his hand and be a friend, but she wasn't so sure about that. Baby Daphney in her sun hat.

All Fifteen

We gathered all 15 grandkids around us for a photo. Wow! It was amazing that we got them all to look forward at the camera. Fun, fun, fun!

Fun Family Day

What a fun day we, the whole family, had at the park. The weather had been so rainy all week, but on Saturday the sun came out and we all so enjoyed it. We went to this fun park in Layton, where the kids chased the ducks and played on the playground. Logan was cute teaching Paige how to blow dandelions.

Spring Run Off - Flaming Gorge

With a lot of snow in the winter comes a bigger than normal runoff. Mark and I drove up to Flaming Gorge this week to see the Green River running very swift and full. The last time this happened was in 1983. They predict this year's runoff to be bigger. Flaming Gorge area is beautiful. We stopped at the lodge for a nice dinner. Enjoyed the evening.
