A Fun day at Lake Mead

There was lots of action and fun in the sun on the little beach. We know how to make fun where ever we go.

Wild Fun

In late October, the Wayment clan came together for the annual reunion held in Las Vegas. We started out some fun at Lonnie and Angel's house, in their pool and grilling on the barbque.

Over the road flood

This flood was a big one as you can see here. The water went over the top of the road on 3000 W. See here looking at it from both the north and south. Also a picture of the lower hay field. We had rain and sleet and now it is quite chilly. A big difference in temps from last week's 80 degrees.

Fall Flood

This photo was taken from my back porch.

Hay fields under water again, but we did have the 3rd crop harvested. Lucky us.

Happenings Again

Brenden has a birthday and turns 8 years old.

Aug. 6-7, Brenden is baptized and Daphney is blessed. What a cute family.

Here it is late August and we still have green pastures. Comes from all that snow we had last winter.

Now this is a sight. One backhoe towing another. Ours is out of commission again. Wayne had borrowed one to finish up his driveway project, so while it was here Mark had him drag our home. Notice David onboard.

Zoo and other things

Stacy, the kids and I went to the Zoo for some summer fun. It was hot, but we made the best of it. The bird show was fun and the kids loved the dinosaurs.

Lonnie's family stopped in SL and took some photos around the temple. I love this one they sent me of the kids looking at the temple. Beautiful.

Our second crop of hay had it's issues. First it should have been cut around July 24th, but because of all the floods and rain it was delayed. The hay got old and tuff. It was a challenge to cut. The old swather broke down in several areas. Now it is running much better with lots of new parts. Then the baler's needle arm cracked and more repairs. But luckily Mark was able to weld it up and get back in business. With all the water, fertilizer and delayed harvesting it is a bumper crop as you can see. Turning lemons into lemonade. Trials and blessings go hand in hand.

Wyoming Trip

Posted by Picasa

On July 21 we drove to Evanston, Wy for Mandy and Jedd's wedding party. They had a fun one for us to enjoy and wish them well in their new marriage. We stayed there that night along with Grandpa Ed and Grandma Zola at the Holiday Inn Express. Friday the 22, after a yummie breakfast, we drove out to Mandy and Jedd's place for a quick visit. Then we headed north through Wy. to Jackson Hole where we stayed that night. We took an evening drive through Grand Teton National Park and got lucky enough to see a bear and a moose. Sat. we drove through Yellowstone National Park seeing the beautiful sights as the pictures show. We stayed in Gardner, Montana that night. Sunday we drove to West Yellowstone and on home. We seen a lot and enjoyed the company. It was a good trip.
